Challenge Cup 4th round refs announced including Wigan v Hull FC & St Helens v Leeds

Wigan v Hull FC is one of the big ties in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup.

Last year’s Wembley referee will take charge of the top tie in this weekend’s Challenge Cup fourth round.

Chris Kendall is the man in the middle for holders Wigan Warriors’ home clash with Super League rivals Hull FC on Saturday. Kendall was the whistler at the 2025 Challenge Cup decider and Super League Grand Final and was also the referee when Wigan beat Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas two weeks ago.

Liam Moore has been appointed to St Helens’ showdown with Leeds Rhinos at TW Stadium on Friday and his brother Aaron Moore will be in charge when Wakefield Trinity visit Huddersfield Giants for the other all-Super League tie two days later.

Referee for Hull KR’s home game against Championship side Oldham on Friday is Tom Grant and Jack Smith will oversee Salford Red Devils versus Bradford Bulls the same evening.

Marcus Griffiths has been appointed to Featherstone Rovers’ game at Catalans Dragons on Saturday, when James Vella takes charge of the derby between Widnes Vikings and Warrington.

The round’s final tie sees Batley Bulldogs visit Leigh Leopards, where Liam Rush will be the main official, on Sunday. Video referees will not be used at this weekend’s Cup ties.
