Catalans v Wigan: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

After ending St Helens’ unbeaten start to the season, Catalans Dragons have a chance of ending the weekend joint top of the league should they beat Wigan today and in doing so end the Warriors’ unbeaten start to the season. Despite not being at their best, Wigan keep finding ways to win. Can they keep that trend up against the Dragons this evening?

Things just get tougher for Catalans. The Dragons have faced an increasing amount of injuries in recent weeks and Fouad Yaha and Alrix Da Costa have joined those already sat on the side lines. Steve McNamara will be desperate for Sam Tomkins and Samisoni Langi to return to the side having missed last weekend’s victory and both feature in the 21-man squad. However, there are doubts over both and especially over Langi leaving questions over how the Catalans backs could look if he’s unavailable.

Wigan also have problems in the backs. It feels like the Warriors have returned to square one following the injury to Bevan French. It means Adrian Lam will again have to name two second-rowers at centre as Zak Hardaker returns to fullback. However, they could welcome back experienced halfback Thomas Leuluai to the side.
