Catalans v Leigh: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Top hosts bottom tomorrow. Both sides have very different ambitions going into the final few games. Catalans need a win to edge closer to the League Leaders’ Shield whilst Leigh, despite being certainties for the drop, are hoping to finish the season strongly.

The Dragons are unlikely to make many changes to the side who beat Salford on Thursday. However, the return of Gil Dudson is an undoubted boost and he’ll return to the front row whilst Jordan Dezaria drops to the bench. Impressive youngster Matthieu Laguerre will remain at centre in place of the absent Dean Whare.

As for Leigh, they’ll be forced into a couple of changes thanks to a few absentees. Matty Russell is unavailable so Craig Mullen will move from the bench to the wing. Meanwhile, James Bell’s absence will be a definite blow prompting Alex Gerrard to move to loose-forward whilst Rob Butler starts in the front row. Butler and Mullen’s promotion to the starting 13 from the bench could see the on loan Josh Eaves return to the interchanges alongside potential debutant Jai Whitbread.
