Catalans v Huddersfield: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

The league leaders are now looking towards Old Trafford and will begin their preparations for the play-offs against Huddersfield tonight. The Dragons have been the best team this season, that much is clear, but they’ll want to maintain their momentum with a win over Huddersfield in France this evening.

The Dragons will likely name a team of the future especially in the backs. I’m excited to see Arthur Mourgue, Matthieu Laguerre and Romain Franco line up alongside the likes of Dean Whare and Tom Davies out wide building on the attacking opportunities provided by the likes of James Maloney and Josh Drinkwater in the halves. That said, young Cesar Rouge could be given a chance at stand-off. Other youngsters like Corentin Le Cam will likely feature whilst squad players such as Paul Seguier and Benjamin Jullien will also come in. They’ll be hoping push for a place in Steve McNamara’s play-off side.

As for Huddersfield, their pack has again taken a beating leaving Ian Watson with virtually no natural props. Thus, he’ll turn to the likes of Owen Trout and Oliver Wilson in the middle of the field. Ashton Golding and Jermaine McGillvary’s availability could prompt Watson to change his back three although Olly Ashall-Bott should stay in the side after his superb performance in the defeat to Wakefield last time out.
