Catalans Dragons vs Warrington Wolves: 21-man squads, injury news, kick-off time & TV details

After their biggest victory of the season, Catalans face a Warrington Wolves side with a point to prove. The Dragons beat St Helens 20-18 last week to keep themselves within four points of the top, whereas Warrington were embarrassed by a late Salford comeback that handed them their sixth loss in the last seven games.

Catalans’ last Magic Weekend was the stuff of dreams, as they scored three tries in three minutes before a James Maloney drop goal sealed the win for them in incredible fashion against St Helens. Although the stakes are not quite as high this year, with the quality of the sides at the top, a loss against a team in Warrington’s form would be a huge disappointment.

The situation for Daryl Powell is a desperate one. Many expected a recovery from their poor start to the season, however that is now nowhere in sight. It seemed as though some light at the end of the tunnel had come last week, as they led Salford 24-8 with 20 minutes remaining, but they lacked the leadership and composure to see out what would have been just their seventh win of the season. However, there is quality throughout the squad, and a win against Catalans on such a big stage would be a huge confidence boost.
