Two of the top four do battle in a high profile fixture tomorrow.
Both sides oddly lost last week which is certainly a rarity this season. So, both need a win to get back and track and heave themselves away from Castleford who are beginning to close the gap on the illustrious top four.
A hugely exciting fixture all round between two sides who very well could make their way to Old Trafford, who will have the edge?
Catalans are boosted by the returns of Arthur Mourgue and Ben Garcia – who nearly lost an ear two weeks ago against Warrington. Michael McIlorum and Dylan Napa are still banned whilst Fouad Yaha joins fellow winger Tom Davies on the sidelines.
Louis Senior, despite signing for Hull KR next year, has been recalled from his loan at the Robins to return to Huddersfield to alleviate their injury crisis. Jermaine McGillvary is one of the reasons for this decision as he joins the likes of Tui Lolohea on the sidelines.
Match Preview – Key Battles:
Sam Tomkins vs Will Pryce: Will Pryce had a tough time filling the boots of Tui Lolohea last week, but an excellent young man and always a danger he could bounce back with a great performance here. However, he’ll be up against a player he no doubt wants his career to emulate in the experienced and brilliant Sam Tomkins.
Mitchell Pearce vs Theo Fages: Two halfbacks with great pedigree and experience go toe-to-toe. Both will look to boss the game and the one who does may lead their side to victory.
Where the game will be won and lost:
Catalans have been missing something recently – perhaps Ben Garcia. His return will add a bit of extra toughness to the middle and could enable Catalans to boss the middle third against an injury hit Huddersfield side. Doing so, may lead the Dragons to victory.
Score Prediction: Catalans Dragons 22-12 Huddersfield Giants
