Catalans Dragons v St Helens line-ups as Daryl Clark decision made

St Helens

Daryl Clark has been given the green light to feature for St Helens this evening after overcoming a hip injury. The Saints take on Catalans Dragons at the Stade Gilbert Brutus tonight as they go in search of their first Super League win since round three.

Defeats to Hull KR and Warrington Wolves have seen Paul Wellens’ side start to be questioned and after picking up an injury in the latter, there was some doubt about whether Clark would be fit to take on the Dragons tonight.

However, the hooker has trained this week and he has been named on the bench by Wellens, with Moses Mbye getting the nod to start at hooker.

Dayon Sambou plays on the wing for the second week in a row, while Joe Batchelor returns to the fold after missing last week with a head injury. He takes the place of Curtis Sironen, with the forward dropping out of the fold this week.

Tommy Makinson returns for Catalans after missing last week’s trip to Castleford Tigers. He’ll be keen to impress against his former side as he goes in search of his first try in Dragons colours. Theo Fages also steps into the fold to take on his former club.

Fages will partner Luke Keary in the halves, while Bayley Sironen starts in place of skipper Ben Garcia in the back-row. Fouad Yaha, Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet, Jordan Dezaria and Romain Navarrete also miss out, with Paul Seguier and Franck Maria coming onto the bench.
