Catalans Dragons Under-19 side have just completed the amazing feat of racking up their 40th win in a row.
It’s no surprise that the senior team are enjoying a purple patch in terms of club history in the Super League at present with the success of the youngsters pushing them further.
The unbeaten run stretches over three years going all the way back to this day (November 30th) in 2019 when they beat Avignon 56-16.
Catalans’ youngsters compete in the Elite One U19s championship in France, having pulled out of the Super League academy league four years ago due to travel costs.

The Covid-19 outbreak ended their 19/20 season early but they had already produced 11 wins on the spin at that point.
A perfect season in 21/22 followed, with 22 victories from 22 games to lift both the league and the cup, and now with the current season underway they’ve had the chance to extend it.
Their seventh win of the current season means they’ve tallied 40 wins in a row and are flying high at the top of the league.
The side play again this upcoming weekend (3rd December) and will look to remain invincible.
A fan on twitter commented about their achievement: “They have a trainer who knows how to bring out the best in these young players. Amazing coach.”

That coach in question is Justin Murphy who played for Catalans at the end of his career having had a very brief spell with Widnes.
Murphy scored an impressive 54 tries in 66 games to end his career with the Dragons and the 44-year-old is clearly transitioning well into coaching with the development and dominance of these young players.
