Catalans Dragons have promised to make “the best 2023 Super League signing.”

It comes as the official Betfred Super League Twitter page asked fans to name the signing they’re most excited to see ahead of the new season with the likes of Huddersfield Giants star Esan Marsters named alongside Hull FC coach Tony Smith.

However, the Dragons got involved as they shared the tweet with the caption: “coming soon” and a popcorn emoji seemingly confirming a signing on the cusp of being confirmed that they believe could be the best of the new season.

The Dragons have been linked with a move for

This was initially rumoured by Catalan Media on Twitter prior to being circulated by Rugby League Live earlier this week.

Australian sources corroborated the story claiming the versatile Keighran was set to take on a one-year deal in Perpignan.

Could he be the signing Catalans are referencing here? I suppose the bigger question would be whether he would be “the best signing” of 2023.

Of course, they could be hinting at another signing though they haven’t been linked with anyone else.

The Dragons are in need of recruitment after losing Josh Drinkwater to the Warrington Wolves and allowing centres Dean Whare and Samisoni Langi to leave.

Dylan Napa will also be leaving and has been linked with Wakefield Trinity.
