Catalans Dragons confirm exciting clash against ex-Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos stars

Catalans Dragons will host a selection of the best players of the French Elite Championship in a pre-season friendly before the launch of the 2023 Betfred Super League Season.

The game will be played on Saturday 4th February at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium.

The kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.

With the Elite One Championship full of stars from Super League and the NRL, it could be a pretty exciting line up.

The likes of ex-Catalans Dragons and former NRL Champion James Maloney will likely be included alongside Lezignan teammate Corey Norman who shone in Super League last year with Toulouse Olympique after he left the NRL.

Ex-Wigan Warriors and Salford Red Devils star Morgan Escare has been tearing it up in France as well whilst former Hull FC star Hakim Miloudi has also made the move to the Elite One Championship as has ex-NRL and Leeds Rhinos star James Segeyaro.

Thus, the Elite One Championship side could provide a real test for the Dragons as they prepare for the Super League season.

The Dragons will start the Betfred Super League season on Friday 17th February at Wakefield where Tom Johnstone could debut for the French side against his former club.
