Where every released Catalans Dragons player has signed for 2025

After a disappointing 2024, Catalans Dragons have undoubtedly put themselves in a good position to improve with new signings.

A start-studded roster is headed by the likes of Luke Keary from Sydney Roosters, Oli Partington from Salford Red Devils and England mainstay Elliott Whitehead.

This was only possible, however, due to letting a number of players leave the Stade Gilbert Brutus at the end of the 2024 season.

Where have they headed?

Micky McIlorum headed to Hull KR, replacing the retiring Matt Parcell, and will be competing with Jez Litten for the starting number nine shirt. He made over 100 appearances for the Dragons in seven seasons at Stade Gilbert Brutus.,

Meanwhile, Tom Davies joins him at Craven Park, probably largely due to Ryan Hall heading to Leeds Rhinos, freeing up a spot on the wing.

Tom Johnstone, another winger, is returning to Wakefield Trinity after just two seasons away, and will be joined by Mike McMeeken, who will be reunited with head coach Daryl Powell after the two worked together at Castleford Tigers.

Manu Ma’u didn’t manage to play a single game in 2024 due to injury, and the 36-year-old has now joined Souths Sharks in Queensland.

Jordan Abdull was a starting half-back in 2024 while on loan from Hull KR, but he won’t be wearing Catalan Dragons colours next year, with Luke Keary lined up to take his place. He has signed for Hull FC and has been given a starting number.

Matt Ikuvalu left after a season-and-a-half in Perpignan, after signing from Cronulla Sharks in 2023, and he is yet to find a new side to play for in 2025.

Finally, Jarrod Wallace, after just five Super League appearances, also left. He was only signed from Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins side in July, and his original contract – until the end of 2024 – was not extended, making it a short-stay in Catalonia. He has retired from the game.
