Catalans Dragons 18-10 Hull KR: Match report

Catalans Dragons took on Hull KR in the south of France tonight in a bid to extend their winning run to five games.

Meanwhile, the Robins were coming off the back of a 26-16 win over Salford Red Devils.

The first points of the night came courtesy of a Sam Tomkins penalty goal in the eighth minute before the Dragons crossed on the right edge through Fouad Yaha.

Tomkins again converted to make it 8-0, but KR sniffed out a comeback when Will Dagger was dumped on his head by Mitchell Pearce, who subsequently was given a yellow card.

KR took advantage of the extra men as a slick move from Dagger and Shaun Kenny-Dowall helped send Ryan Hall over the corner.

Tomkins added another penalty just after the half-hour mark, but Rovers struck before half-time through Kenny-Dowall.

10-10 at the break helped set up a tense second-half, but Joe Chan’s try on 62 minutes settled proceedings.

Tomkins’ third penalty in the 70th minute shifted the game to a two-score ball game and Hull had no answer.
