Catalans have confirmed that young outside back Arthur Romano has signed a new one-year contract.
The 22-year-old has had a breakthrough year in 2019, making 14 appearances and scoring three tries, after spending the past two seasons on the fringes of the Dragons’ side mainly because of injury.
He’s also had two spells with Toulouse on loan over the past two seasons, scoring one try in six games altogether.
Now, however, he will remain in Perpignan in 2020 and look to build on this year’s success.
“I’m proud to extend my contract with the Dragons and to stay at the club,” he said.
“The season ended few weeks ago for us but I can’t wait to start the preseason program and to work hard with the team to achieve our goals next season.”
Catalans head coach Steve McNamara added: “Arthur has worked extremely hard over the last two years to improve his game.
“He has made significant progress and we look forward to seeing that continue over the next 12 months.
