Cas welcome back stars for Wolves clash

Castleford Warrington squads

Daryl Powell welcomes back five players into his 19-man squad for Castleford’s showdown with Warrington on Sunday.

After choosing to rest a number of his star players against St Helens last weekend, Powell recalls Zak Hardaker, Luke Gale, Grant Millington, Michael Shenton and Adam Milner.

The Tigers head coach described last week’s win against Saints as ‘one of his best ever’ and he will now look for his star players to pick up where they left off.

Castleford sit four points clear at the top of the Super League table and an incredible 16 points ahead of Sunday’s visitors Warrington, who are having a season to forget.

Last year’s league leaders suffered another embarrassing defeat last Sunday against Huddersfield as the pressure starts to mount on head coach Tony Smith.

Youngster Will Dagger is in line to make his debut on Sunday in a match few will give the Wolves any chance of winning, having conceded 122 points in their last three matches.

Castleford Tigers 19-man squad:

Greg Eden, Alex Foster, Zak Hardaker, Jy Hitchcox, Tom Holmes, Luke Gale, Kevin Larroyer, Andy Lynch, Nathan Massey, Mike McMeeken, Paul McShane, Grant Millington, Adam Milner, Greg Minikin, Junior Moors, Joel Monaghan, Ben Roberts, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Michael Shenton.
