Castleford v Wakefield: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Rivals round continues with an interesting West Yorkshire derby. Castleford host Wakefield on the back of impressive wins over Leeds and St Helens whilst Wakefield, under caretaker boss Willie Poching, shocked Warrington last time out. Both sides will be full of confidence which should lead to a great game.

Having knocked off the Champions last week, I imagine Daryl Powell will keep the changes to a minimum. In fact, I believe he’ll name an unchanged starting 13 following the determined showing of his side against St Helens. However, I believe Nathan Massey may return to the fold on the bench meaning Cheyse Blair could drop out as Powell looks to give his 17 greater size.

‘If it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ – that’s the saying and it’s likely to be the philosophy adopted by both teams going into the game. After inspiring Trinity to a shock win over Warrington, Poching will likely name the exact same 17 as last week. It’s possible he could bring Kyle Wood back into the side to give the team a natural number nine, however after claiming the win last week Poching may want to stick with the same side.
