Castleford v Hull FC: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

After contrasting fortunes in the Challenge Cup last week, Castleford host Hull FC today. The Tigers shocked the world with one of the best performances of the season to beat fancied Warrington and book a place at Wembley on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hull FC come into this one after a heart breaking and controversial semi-final defeat to St Helens.

Somewhat surprisingly, Daryl Powell has made five changes to his 21-man squad. Interestingly, Danny Richardson, who has reportedly been offered to Super League rivals, will likely return despite the form of Jake Trueman and Gareth O’Brien neither of whom are set to feature. Meanwhile, Oliver Holmes and Peter Mata’utia will both play just 24 hours after it was confirmed the duo will leave the Tigers at the end of the year. George Griffin returns from suspension whilst Powell has a problem to solve at fullback without Niall Evalds.

At the other end of the spectrum, Hull will likely make just the one change enforced by the heart breaking injury to Josh Griffin in last week’s semi-final. Cameron Scott will move from the bench to the starting line-up leaving a number of players vying for the remaining bench spot. The likes of Ben McNamara and Jordan Johnstone could very well feature.
