Sosaia Feki was a major signing when he arrived at Castleford in 2020.

Regarded as one of the best wingers in the NRL and a Grand Final winner with Cronulla he’d scored 67 tries in 148 games averaging almost one every other game.

However, since joining the Tigers he’s been constantly hit with bad luck and has hardly played due to injuries.

Some fans may have even forgotten that he is still contracted with the Tigers.

Typifying his bad luck, he recently joined Featherstone on loan only to never play picking up another injury as he headed to Post Office Road and a similar situation has arisen with his latest two-week loan to the Championship.

He joined Sheffield Eagles on a two-week loan but is now headed home to Australia after not playing a game for the Eagles.

That means his only action has come for the Castleford Tigers reserves in 2022 as he strives to get back to full fitness.

The reason for his departure back to Australia is unclear but is down to personal issues so we all wish him and his family well.

It’s unknown whether he’ll be back but he was waved off by plenty of his former teammates on former teammate Quentin Laulu-Togagae’s Instagram.

“Safe trip uso. We all got you,” the caption read.
