Castleford Tigers starlet handed SIX-MATCH ban as Harry Newman appeal date now revealed

Hull KR’s Dean Hadley has successfully appealed against a one-match ban by the Match Review Panel.

Hadley admitted making dangerous contact with an opponent during Sunday’s Betfred Super League Magic Weekend fixture against Hull FC, but challenged the grading which has now been reduced to Grade A (Other Contrary Behaviour), with no suspension.

St Helens’ Sione Mata’utia also successfully appealed against his one-match ban imposed for making dangerous contact with an opponent during Saturday’s Betfred Super League fixture against Wigan Warriors in Newcastle. He accepted a caution and there will be no suspension.

Matt Prior of Leeds Rhinos was unsuccessful in his appeal against a Grade B Dangerous Contact charge in Saturday’s night’s Super League match against Castleford Tigers at St James’s Park, so his two-match suspension stands.

Josh Jordan-Roberts of Hunslet has been suspended for three matches, and fined £75, after being found guilty of a Grade D Dangerous Contact charge in the Betfred League One fixture at Cornwall on July 2.

Harry Egley of Castleford Tigers Under-16s has been suspended for six matches after pleading guilty to a Grade E Dangerous Throw charge in the Scholarship match at Huddersfield Giants on June 29.
