Castleford Tigers Head Coach has confirmed that new signing from Hull KR has likely suffered a nasty injury.
After attempting a tackle in the second half of Castleford’s draw with London Broncos, Milnes went off the field with his arm in a makeshift sling.
Now Lingard has revealed that there is a good chance that his shoulder came out of the joint and Milnes is now set for scans which will determine the severity of the injury.
He also gave an update on George Griffin: “Yeah Griffin got a head knock you know so he had to come off and he’s got to go through the protocol now as he returns to play for the HIA. Rowan is not too sure, he’s not sure whether his shoulder came out or not but he’s going to go for some scans on that and we’ll see what the outcome is.”
This is bad news for Castleford after the injury to Alex Mellor last week against Keighley Cougars.
Castleford Tigers injury news
On a positive for the Tigers, Danny Richardson returned to the field for the Tigers and Lingard was pleased with what he showed on the field of play.
He said on the club’s official social media channels: “Just very pleased with you with that half an hour that he put in on the field. Yeah, very pleased and kind of a bit happy, it’s the first game he’s played for about 16, 18 months, but he’ll want to stay out there a little bit longer if he can, but we’re just conscious that it’s been a long time since he’s played, so we took him off for that half an hour and obviously try and build him up again next week.
“With Rowan going off injured today as well, it’s massively important that Danny gets through that game next week as well now.”
He also praised young Fletcher Rooney who made his home debut for the club: “Yeah really pleased, he took a real good kick in that window as well. He doesn’t seem to get fazed by a great deal and he’s been training more with the first team over the last couple of weeks and now he’s a perfect prep for this and he’s got a lot more games to come for Castleford.”
