Castleford Tigers star on crutches

Castleford Tigers star Jacques O’Neill has been pictured on crutches after an operation.

The gritty forward endured a rather miserable 2021 season after a stunning year in 2020, as injury peppered his time in the Castleford first-team.

But, O’Neill – who debuted for the Tigers in 2019 – looks to be getting ready for pre-season under incoming head coach Lee Radford.

With 29 appearances to his name since making a breakthrough in 2020, O’Neill has received raptures from those in the game for his uncompromising play and willingness to mix it with the big boys in the middle of the field.

Hailing from Barrow, the 22-year-old is yet another success story from the rugby league mad county of Cumbria, following in the footsteps of the likes of Morgan Knowles and Kyle Amor.
