Castleford Tigers outside back makes Championship move

Dewsbury Rams have announced the capture of utility back Brad Graham from Castleford Tigers for the 2022 Betfred Championship Season.

Graham, 20, is a towering outside back that stands over 6ft 3in and can play either centre or wing.

In 2020 he made his Super League debut for the Tigers against Hull FC after coming through their academy system.

Speaking on signing with the Rams Graham said: “I am very pleased to have signed for the Rams, it is a local club to myself and has a great history so I am really looking forward to getting stuck in and finding my feet within the team and the club.

“The decision was easy to be honest, once Lee Greenwood got in touch everything about the club and its ambitions attracted me, it also fits with my lifestyle change of going self employed and playing part time which is great..

“I am looking forward to making my mark on the Championship and pushing my way into the team and competing hard to earn a place.

“I am excited to show everyone what I am about, the set up here is second to none and it is a great environment to be in.

“I am looking forward to helping the team achieve a high finish in this upcoming year and I am raring to go.”

Lee Greenwood commented on Graham’s capture saying: “I was surprised when I heard Brad had become available but we acted quickly to get him in.

“He has had a taste of Super League and showed up well, enough for Castleford to keep him full time.

“He adds real competition at wing and centre within our squad much like Ollie Greensmith but I believe he could end up as a quality back rower.

“Brad played for Dewsbury Moor as a junior and is a great fit for what we are trying to do here. He knows a few of our current players already and they have all sang his praises so I am glad we have him on board.”
