Alex Sutcliffe, like others at Castleford Tigers, has been attempting to recover from injury recently.

He has been getting over a new problem but has been getting back into the thick of things in pre-season as he revealed on Tigers TV.

He said: “It’s been good, it’s been tough. Just getting back into it and back into stuff is good. Getting back into the team stuff has been nice after sitting on the sidelines.”

He went on to elaborate upon the injury that he struggled with in 2022: “I had some problems with it last year, all year really. I just carried on really and tried to manage it as best as I could. They’ve done a bit to my tendon and hopefully it’s all good now.”

The 2020 Challenge Cup winner with Leeds Rhinos is subsequently eager to get on the field and playing again saying that everyone hates pre-season.

“I think everyone is itching for a game really and itching for it to be over. No one really likes pre-season if you say you like pre-season then you’re lying. It’s cold and just not nice,” Sutcliffe said.

The Tigers are set to meet local rivals Featherstone Rovers who are hoping to join the Tigers in Super League soon.
