Castleford Tigers’ Jordan Turner set for lengthy spell on the sidelines

Castleford Tigers star Jordan Turner is set for a spell on the sideline after it was confirmed that he suffered a devastating injury in the club’s defeat at Huddersfield Giants.

The Tigers went down 36-24 at the John Smith’s Stadium, but Turner will be forced to sit out the next few weeks or months with a fractured hand.

It is hardly good news for Castleford who face a Wigan Warriors side determined to get back on the horse after their first defeat of the season.

Both sides are coming off disappointing losses with Wigan going down 28-0 to the Catalans Dragons in the south of France on Saturday night.

The Tigers didn’t fare much better away at the Huddersfield Giants with a 36-24 loss their fourth defeat in five games.
