Castleford Tigers have perhaps the best nine in the league in former Man of Steel winner Paul McShane who scooped up the award as recently as 2020.

This doesn’t leave much room for other nines to make an impression culminating in the redevelopment of Adam Milner as a 13 for example.

It has also seen young Cain Robb not have many opportunities but a player of great potential and the potential heir to McShane it’s important he gets game time and recently he’s been getting that at Whitehaven.

Today the Tigers have confirmed that his loan move has been extended his loan deal for a further month with the nine set to take on Halifax today.

The number nine has massive potential and was even named in a Super League Team of the Week last year and played a key part early in the season as the Tigers dealt with injuries in the spine at the start of the campaign.

Keep an eye on him over the next few years as he potentially becomes Castleford’s next best nine and a possible candidate for international honours.
