Castleford Tigers forward exits club amid reports of incoming Hull KR man

Castleford Tigers have announced that veteran prop Brad Singleton has left the club with immediate effect.

Singleton, who is in a testimonial year, featured in the club’s opening game against Wigan Warriors but hasn’t been seen since, with injury and off-field issues hampering him.

A former Leeds and Wigan enforcer, the 33-year-old joined Castleford part-way through last season from Salford Red Devils, and made 20 appearances for the club last season.

The former  Irish international has amassed a total of 270 Super League appearances in a career that includes two Challenge Cups and two Grand Finals.

Now that Singleton is out the door, Castleford could now potentially bring in one of their rumoured targets.

Jack Brown of Hull KR is someone who has been heavily linked with the club, and there is now an opportunity for him to arrive from the Robins earlier than expected, particularly with KR signing Tevita Pangai Jr recently.
