Castleford Tigers boss Lee Radford mocks Hull FC and Jake Connor ahead of Super League clash

Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford hasn’t enjoyed the best start to his career at the Jungle.

After losing his opening three games as Tigers boss, Radford will come up against former side Hull FC this weekend.

One of those stars he will be coaching against is Jake Connor – who was snubbed by Shaun Wane for the latest England training squad and who registered six assists for FC last weekend.

However, Radford didn’t seem to be to worried about facing the fullback when attacking his line.

Radford, when asked if he was worried about coming up against Connor, told Rugby League Live: “Down our end a lot; down the other end, not too much.”

Not only was Radford in a jovial mood about Connor, he also fired shots at Hull’s style of play at present.

“I saw the scoreline and some of the highlights from last week, but I haven’t watched a lot of them,” he continued.

“I’m concentrating on what we need to get right rather than what they’re throwing at us at this moment in time.”

“I think they’re still using the same playbook as what I left them with so hopefully we’ll prick our ears up and listen to a few plays,” Radford joked.
