The rumours about Jake Trueman continue to do the rounds after he was linked with a move to Hull FC.
The halfback has been at Castleford Tigers since January 2017 – the year in which he scored a hat-trick on debut in an away win at Wigan Warriors.
However, since then Trueman has suffered a serious back injury and needed a big operation which left his game time in 2021 limited.
The former Bradford Bulls product is also out of contract at the end of the year and now head coach Lee Radford has spoken about the potential move.
“I think that’s for everyone else to announce, for me he is here now and I’ve got to get the best out of him this year,” Radford told BBC West Yorkshire Sport.
“If he is here fantastic, if he’s not I will get a very good replacement, but my focus is I want to get Jake playing better than he was last week.”
Radford also spoke about how difficult it is in the market for a halfback.
“The halfback is a difficult one, if you look at the market and see which halfbacks are there, you don’t have to be Einstein when you see those getting touted about because there aren’t too many.”
