Castleford Tigers and RFL join Barack Obama and 50,000 people in bizarre social media development

There’s a statement I bet you never thought you would ever see in a rugby league article.

But, no matter what you think, the title is true.

Recently on Twitter a phenomenon has taken over called #SingYourDialect where different people join what’s called a ‘Space’ on Twitter.

The ‘Space’ is a new feature following an update on the social media giant and a whole host of social media profiles with ‘blue ticks’ – those that are recognised by the app as been well-known/famous – have now joined in what was once a laugh with a small group of people.

From hundreds of guests to over 50,000, the #SingYourDialect has seen the likes of former US President Barack Obama join as well as Adidas and Williams Racing.

Even Castleford Tigers, Dewsbury Rams, Widnes Vikings and the RFL joined the group. Clearly, the Tigers would sing ‘Sweet Caroline’ given that is their full-time victory anthem.

But, the Dewsbury Rams’, Widnes Vikings’ and RFL’s choices were unclear.

All in all, it’s a good bit of fun with the host making the ‘Space’ an entertaining place to be and bringing a smile to peoples’ faces in difficult times.
