Castleford Tigers’ Adam Milner shares horrible-looking injury following victory over Wakefield Trinity

Rugby league is a tough sport and injuries are part and parcel of that – everyone knows that.

But, sometimes, an injury can come along that makes you wince.

Ryan Brierley’s eye injury was such one last year, whilst Ryan Hall’s head blow earlier on in the season wasn’t for the faint-hearted.

Now it’s the turn of Castleford Tigers forward Adam Milner who, in victory over Wakefield Trinity last night, managed to sustain a deep, open cut to his knee.

With the top of his skin removed, the cut is a few inches deep with the Tigers man captioning: “Gunna be fun over Easter.”

Castleford Tigers were able to overcome Wakefield Trinity, 34-4 at Belle Vue last night.

It was Lee Radford’s first derby win for Castleford since taking over ahead of the 2022 Super League season, and he couldn’t have been happier with his side’s performance.

“I’m pleased with how we responded,” Radford said.

“I thought we started really well which is what we needed to do after last week.

“Last Friday’s start killed us and set the tempo for the rest of the game so to get a response like that is a credit to the group.

“I just thought it was a grindy game and I love those games of rugby – I thought we took our opportunities when they came out.”

Radford identified two of his players in particular for how they performed.

“I thought Westy (Joe Westerman) and Liam Watts were outstanding and congratulations to Greg (Eden) to scoring his 100th try.”
