Castleford name Boxing Day squad

Castleford Tigers could hand debuts out three debuts in their Boxing Day Clash against Bradford Bulls.

Halfback Danny Richardson, winger Derrell Olpherts and forward Tyla Hepi could all feature at some point for Castleford.

It is a relatively young squad, but there is also the experience of some senior figures. Peter Mata’uita, Greg Eden, James Clare, Grant Millington and Jesse Sene-Lefao are all included.

There is also space for Jacques O’Neill and Calum Turner, who have first team experience.

Tigers Head Coach Daryl Powell told the club website: “There’s a lot of experience and know-how embedded into this squad for Boxing Day playing alongside some quality young players and I think it’s exciting looking at the whole of the club and the depth we’ve got with some of the younger guys pushing through who we’re hoping will go on to achieve big things over the coming years.”
