Castleford forward joins Championship side on-loan

Castleford Tigers forward Lewis Peachey has joined York City Knights on a two-week loan spell.

The 20-year-old Tigers Academy graduate made his Super League debut for Castleford back in 2019 against Catalans Dragons and has made six appearances for the Tigers so far.

Peachey could make his debut with the Knights this Sunday against Sheffield Eagles in the Betfred Championship.

Speaking about the loan, Castleford head coach Daryl Powell said: “Lewis has had a great pre-season and is in really good physical shape. Going to York is a great opportunity for him to play in the Championship and press his claims for a place in the Cas team.”
