Cas working hard behind the scenes, says Powell

Castleford Tigers Head Coach Daryl Powell has said his side are working hard behind the scenes to correct their form.

The Tigers have only won once since the restart, and lost again today against Hull FC ar the KCOM Stadium.

Powell was keen to ensure supporters that hard work is being put in.

He said: “No one likes to lose, but it is happening to us a lot more than I have ever experienced.

“We are working hard to correct it. We need to keep the high standards we expect of each other. There is not a lot of time to put it right.

“I need to make sure I give the players the right messages. Winning produces confidence, and we need to start on Thursday.

“Performances have fluctuated quickly. We have lost a couple in the last play. That is helped by having your best players on the pitch, which is something we haven’t had since lockdown.”
