Carlos Tuimavave discusses next move with ‘conversations’ after Hull FC exit

Carlos Tuimavave hopes to have his future wrapped up within the next couple of weeks as he prepares to leave Hull FC at the end of the 2024 Super League season.

The Samoa international has spent nine seasons with the club, 181 appearances and with two Challenge Cup wins under his belt, he will go down as one of the club’s best overseas signings, particularly in recent years. However, his time at the MKM Stadium will come to an end next week when Hull draw their season to a close with a home game against Catalans Dragons.

It is understood that there has been Super League interest in the centre, however, whether Tuimavave will be able to extend his time at the top level remains to be seen. The centre insists nothing is finalised as of yet and as he edges towards the end of his Hull contract, he is keeping an open mind.

“There’s stuff, I’ve had conversations with people. I’ve signed with a new agent in Craig Harrison and he’s been out there speaking to clubs,” Tuimavave told the press on his next move.

“There’s been a few conversations with people but officially I haven’t signed anything yet but hopefully within the next one or two weeks, Craig and I can sit down and assess the options and have something sorted.

“I definitely want to keep playing next year. I still have that fire in my belly and I still think I can compete with the top centres in the competition so, I’m excited for what’s to come next.”

Asked if he would be staying in England, the Hull FC man added: “Most definitely. Like I said, the fire is still burning there and I still feel as though I have a lot to offer in terms of my experience and ability. We’ll see what comes next.”
