Can improving Catalans win at Wire ?

Thursday night Rugby comes from the HJ where Warrington will be looking to put last week’s last gasp defeat at Warrington behind them with a win against improving Catalans.

The Dragons impressive win at Wakefield last week was their 6th in 7 as they move away from the bottom 4 as we head to the split in 3 weeks.
It’ll be tough at Warrington though as the Wolves have won 5 of their last 6 at home as they look to secure a top 4 spot and the extra home game in the Super 8.

No surprise to see the Wire as short as 2/5 to win this, you can get around 4/5 on the Half Time Full Time, but with the form Catalans are in you’d have to think they can stay inside the 8 point handicap.

It could be an entertaining close affair and you certainly can’t rule out the away win at around 5/2 but maybe home advantage may just see Warrington home by 1-5 points.

Charnley scored a late try at Wigan to tie the game and it’s no surprise to see him head 1st try lists at around 8/1, maybe a bit more value in Tom Lineham at 10/1.

Massive game for the Champions on Friday Night Rugby as they entertain Wakefield, a win is vital if Leeds are to avoid the middle 8 and they could be taking on Trinity at just the right time.

Wakefield have now lost 3 of their last 4 fixtures since an impressive win over Wigan last month and whilst they look safe from the bottom 4 you do feel they have too much to do to make the top 4.

Having said that I’m sure Wakefield would love to put one over the Champions but I think Leeds will just get a crucial win. Especially now club talisman Kevin Sinfield has returned as director of Rugby, ensuring a great atmosphere at the new look Headingley .

The Rhinos are around 4/9 to win this with Trinity around 15/8 , Leeds concede around a 6 point start on the handicap but the best value I’ve seen here is Wakefield 8/11 getting a 10 point start with Skybet .

Better than the handicap though could be going over the total points line ,provided it’s dry , there tends to be alot of points when these 2 play and I think Friday should be no different .

Ryan Hall heads 1st try lists at 10/1 , I’d possibly look to Ash Handley at 14/1 m Wakefield fans will surely look to Tom Johnstone at 14/1.

Best value bet of the game though could be Carl Ablett for a try anytime at 5/1 .

Back next week , as always please gamble responsibly .
