Hull and Castleford battle it out for the final place in the Challenge Cup Semi Finals in front of the BBC Cameras on Sunday afternoon.
Houghton and Taylor are back for FC but Ellis and Sneyd are still out, Moors is out for 10 weeks after a knee injury but Larne Patrick comes back in for the Tigers.
Super League sponsors Betfred make Castleford 4/9 favourites to win this and despite losing in the league here back in April that looks fair enough. The Tigers have won their last 6 games in Super League and also comfortably beat St Helens in the last round of the cup, the black and whites have been very unconvincing winning 3 and losing 3 of their last 6. Daryl Powell has his side scoring tries for fun and whilst the cup holders will put up a strong defence of their trophy I think it’ll be Castleford that book their place in the semi final.
Hull get a 6 point start on the handicap but will miss the kicking of Sneyd, the Tigers are near full strength and I think they can win this by around 11-15 points.
There’s no doubt Hull have the firepower to trouble Castleford with the likes of Fonua, who looks good value to score the 1st try at around 12/1 to score the 1st try, and Kelly but Cas look unstoppable at the moment with Eden scoring tries for him, it must be great fun being on the wing for this Tigers side.
You’d want more than the 15/8 that you can get for Hull for any side to beat Daryl Powell’s men given their current form but you certainly can’t rule out a home win especially after the impressive win at Salford 8 days ago.
Eden is a worthy 7/1 favourite to score the 1st try with Minikin at 9/1.
The hype is all about Gale and Albert Kelly for this game, bit whilst you’d have to go with Gale for man of the match I’d just prefer man of steel Danny Houghton over Kelly, so it’s Houghton and Gale for me.
Super League is back on Thursday as Leigh visit Widnes, as always please gamble responsibly.
