Burgess provides COVID-19 vaccination update

Not Sam, nor George, but the lesser-talked about Tom Burgess has revealed his vaccine status in a post on social media.

Tom is the only brother left at the South Sydney Rabbitohs and is perhaps the one that tends to go under the radar the most with SAS Australia-winning Sam hogging the limelight and the incredible injury returnee that is George, whilst Luke retired and became a taxi driver.

Tom, who played 45 games for the Bradford Bulls between 2011 and 2012, has become a mainstay in the NRL, registering almost 200 appearances in a Rabbitohs shirt.

Plus, Tom now appears to be ‘double-jabbed.’

The whole saga around vaccination protocol has led some NRL clubs to take legal advice about whether sacking a player could be done if they refuse the vaccine.

Players scheduled to return but not vaccinated will be refused entry by some Sydney clubs under New South Wales county health orders, which means that those players will be given home training regimes.

Under NSW health orders, if you are not fully-vaccinated you cannot visit a stadium, gym, or public swimming pool.
