Bureta Faraimo slams Brett Hodgson following Hull FC exit

Hull FC winger Bureta Faraimo is one of Lee Radford’s new signings for the Castleford Tigers after exiting the Humberside club.

Faraimo made 87 appearances during his four years with the Black and Whites, scoring 43 tries along the way, but his last season was a frustrating one for him.

However, whilst the powerful winger is excited about the new challenge in front of him, he has had a few choice words to say about his past experience at the MKM Stadium.

Faraimo revealed how Hodgson didn’t tell him why he wasn’t playing, something which rankled the 31-year-old.

“I’m not going to lie, it did get pretty frustrating at Hull. When I wasn’t playing, I was getting dropped and not getting an excuse,” Faraimo told The Sun.

“When everyone was fit, he (Hodgson) wasn’t playing me and there was nothing I could do other than wait for my turn.

“I had a feeling why I wasn’t being picked, so I went and asked to go out on loan. They denied it, so there was nothing I could do other than sit and wait.

“Lee isn’t afraid of telling you what he thinks of you. He’ll tell you straight up and as a player that’s exactly what you want – someone who’ll tell you if you’re playing like s***, not someone who’ll drop you and not tell you anything.”

Faraimo is part of Radford’s revolution at Castleford, with former Hull winger Mahe Fonua also heading through the doors at the Jungle alongside six other new signings.
