Two of Leigh Leopards’ best performers in 2023 have been guys who have brought a hell of a lot of experience.

Both Tom Briscoe and Zak Hardaker finished their time at Leeds Rhinos in a Grand Final. Between them, that was their 18th major final appearance combined.

Former teammate at Leeds, Jamie Jones-Buchanan praised both saying that Hardaker has revived his career after doing it tough at Wigan.

“I actually think there is more chance of them making a Grand Final than getting relegated right now,” he said on Sky Sports.

“Derek Beaumont is doing a fantastic job and on the pitch there has been some outstanding performers.

“Josh Charnley, Tom Briscoe, but it all starts in the middle with Edwin Ipape, Lachlan Lam and Gareth O’Brien.

“Tom Briscoe, the old timer is in great form and another former teammate of mine Zak Hardaker, after doing it tough a year ago at Wigan Warriors, he’s revived his career through Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Leopards.”
