Brisbane star tests negative for COVID-19

Brisbane Broncos reveal forward Thomas Flelger has tested negative for the coronavirus after displaying flu-like symptoms.

The Broncos, who returned to training today, confirmed in a statement that Flegler had not come into training.

He was tested as a precaution, but it came back negative.

The statement reads: “Brisbane Broncos forward Thomas Flegler did not attend training this morning.

“He developed flu like symptoms last week and in accordance with the Club’s usual practices he was promptly assessed by the club’s chief medical officer.

“Given the current climate, Thomas was also tested for COVID-19 and returned a negative result.”

He will return to training once his symptoms have subsided.
