Brisbane sign experienced hooker

Brisbane Broncos have completed the signing of hooker Isaac Luke from St George Illawarra Dragons for the rest of the 2020 season.

The former New Zealand international will bring a wealth of experience, having previously represented New Zealand Warriors, South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Dragons.

He will act as cover for Cory Paix, who will start at nine in place of Jake Turpin, who has a leg fracture.

Broncos Head Coach Anthony Seibold told the club website: “We’ve brought Isaac here to give support to Cory Paix, who has had a positive start over the last two weeks – while Jake Turpin is out injured.

“He has won a premiership with Souths and captained New Zealand, so he brings that experience, and he has family up here in Queensland so it’s a good fit.”
