Brisbane Broncos star Albert Kelly allegedly involved in drunken brawl with teammate

Former Hull FC star Albert Kelly has allegedly been involved in a drunken brawl with teammate Payne Haas.

Not only are the Brisbane Broncos investigating it, but the Broncos have also reported the matter to the NRL integrity unit.

Brisbane were second best against New Zealand Warriors on Saturday night as they went down 20-6 with Kelly leaving the field with injury, and, following that, the Broncos

News Corp has revealed the video footage of the incident between Haas and Kelly. It is unknown when the fight occurred, but Haas is clearly heard to call Kelly a “f***ing c***” before making contact with Kelly with his left fist.

It appears the clash was sparked by Kelly stepping on Haas’ foot, with the five-eighth saying: “Why would I step on your shoes.”

Broncos chief executive Dave Donaghy previously stated that he would punish bad off-field bad behaviour.

“If we are fair dinkum about being a world-class sporting organisation, we can’t just talk the talk, we need to walk the walk and that’s everyone,” Donaghy said at the time.

“We have reported our matters to the NRL integrity unit and the players understand how disappointed I am with what’s happened in recent weeks.

“It (improving the individual) is something I am passionate about and it will be an enormous focus for us moving forward.”
