Brisbane Broncos five key fixtures in 2020

The NRL’s biggest club may be going through something of a rebuilding phase right now, however that doesn’t mean they aren’t involved in some mouth watering matches.

Here are the Brisbane Broncos five key fixtures in 2020:

Round 1 (Friday 13th March) @Cowboys

Not only are we getting the next instalment of the “Queensland Derby” in the first round of the NRL season, we are getting the first offical game at the new North Queensland Stadium, home to the Cowboys.

Round 2 (Friday 20th March) V Rabbitohs

Not only did we see a close game between these two the last time they played, the Broncos V Rabbitohs has developed into somewhat of a rivalry with coaches Anthony Seibold and Wayne Bennett up against their old clubs, not to mention the former Broncos who made midseason switches to the Rabbitohs in 2019.

Round 5 (Friday 10th April) V Cowboys

We’re getting 2020’s second edition of the “Queensland Derby” early, with this one surely drawing the biggest crowd of the regular season at the 52,000 seater Suncorp Stadium.

Round 7 (Friday 24th April) @Eels (Darwin)

You could use one of two words to describe this one, REDEMPTION or REVENGE. The Broncos will be looking to pay the Eels back after they were embarrassed by the Western Sydney side in week one of the finals 2019.

Round 14 (Thursday 11th June) @Roosters

The back to back defending premiers will be a key match for pretty much every teaming 2020, however the Broncos in particular had their best performance of the season against the Roosters in 2019, defeating them 15-8 and putting on a defensive masterclass, can they back it up?
