Unwanted Brisbane star Anthony Milford was linked with a Super League move last week, but former NRL great Matty Johns believes he will stay in the NRL.
SEN host, Johns, replied “yes, they will” on SEN 1170 Morning Glory when asked whether he could see a rival NRL club capturing Milford for 2022.
“Every coach thinks they can get him going good.”
Though Milford was linked with Super League, Johns doesn’t believe he will leave the southern hemisphere.
“I think he’ll stay in Australia and a team will pick him up.” Johns said.
“A club will look at him and say ‘we’ve got a good halfback, but we need a bit of flair and a bit of running strike. That would suit Milford.”
