Brilliant news for away fans heading to Catalans Dragons and Toulouse Olympique

There has been a great boon for rugby league away fans heading to the south of France over the course of the season with the lifting of some regulations.

Fans and players will need to be vaccinated as they enter into France, but slowly and steadily restrictions are being eased off.

A post by a Catalans and Toulouse media associate tweeted:” Reasons to be cheers-full… French supporters will at least be able to drown their sorrows from now on because as from tomorrow, 16th Feb, THE BARS ARE OPEN at grounds again 🍻🍷🍔🥳
Great news for @WTrinityRL fans on their way to Perpignan.”

Catalans have also recently announced a new broadcast agreement has been reached with the French premium sports network, beIN SPORTS, to cover the 2022 Betfred Super League.

The deal initially covers nine of the 13 Catalans Dragons home games with beIN SPORTS also showing a number of UK based Super League fixtures, in addition to the Play-Offs and Grand Final. As a result, the Dragons’ 2022 season opener against St Helens at Totally Wicked Stadium, scheduled for Thursday February 10, will be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS.

Super League can also confirm that Sky Sports will broadcast Catalans first two home games of the season when the Dragons take on Wakefield Trinity on Saturday 19 February and then Wigan Warriors on Saturday 12 March.
