Brian Noble claims Super League side need these two players to avoid relegation

Brian Noble, who famously guided Wigan Warriors out of relegation trouble in 2006, had had his say on the current relegation battle and has warned Castleford Tigers that Wakefield Trinity will pick up wins and that the Tigers need to stick to improving.

“Well they’re out of the Challenge Cup now. So the league has to be their focus. Andy Last will have one eye on Wakefield Trinity,” he said on BBC Sport.

“Wakefield will get a win, I am confident of that as we get into the second half of the season and move forward and that will increase the pressure.

“But that is professional and performance sport at the highest level.

“He has to keep working on the small things and get his best team on deck and then fire away at more league points.

“Get more league points and get some breathing space between them and Wakefield Trinity.”

Meanwhile, Noble stated that the Tigers need Paul McShane and Joe Westerman at their best if they want to avoid relegation.

Ironic given both used to play for Wakefield Trinity in the past:

“They need Paul McShane and Joe Westerman at their very very best.

“Paul McShane’s skillset is as high as anyone’s in the game.”
