We saw many amazing results throughout the Magic Weekend.
First Salford Red Devils put the cat amongst the pigeons as they further cemented their play-off spot with win a Hull KR who dropped down to seventh after the game.
Then Catalans Dragons blew Wigan Warriors away and the final shock result came when former league leaders Warrington Wolves were beaten by Hull FC in the final game.
We saw amazing scenes from all these fans but perhaps the most jubilant of supporters were the Castleford Tigers fans.
Speaking after their win over Leeds Rhinos, Leeds legend Jamie Jones-Buchanan said the Tigers simply wanted it more.
He said on Sky Sports:
“They just wanted it more. We saw it for the entire game, especially at the end the way they dragged James Bentley into touch, they just wanted it more.
“It was a big game, a West Yorkshire derby and a major win for the Castleford Tigers.”
This came as Brian Carney claimed the Tigers had the loudest fans of the day:
“They get the award for the loudest fans inside St James’ Park today.”
They certainly had a lot to cheer about after Jason Qareqare’s late winner.
