Brett Hodgson identifies three key players in Toulouse win including one who went under the radar

Yesterday, Hull FC beat Toulouse 48-12 to move back into the top four at the expense of Huddersfield.

It was Hull FC’s seventh win of the season and their fifth at home. In fact, they’ve now won five home games in a row which has helped spearheaded their season in the right direction after an up and down start to the campaign.

This win came courtesy of Connor Wynne and Darnell McIntosh who both came away with hat-tricks and after the game speaking to Hull FC’s official website, Head Coach Brett Hodgson praised the duo and one other who perhaps went under the radar as Hull scored tries for fun: “Connor [Wynne] took his opportunity with both hands. Darnell was very strong, and Ligi Sao was absolutely unbelievable.

“We’ve got a really tight group and they’re really enjoying their footy at the moment – we’re heading in the right direction.”

Ligi Sao made an impressive 142 metres during the game from just 17 carries making 28 tackles as well as he got through a tone of work.

Credit McIntosh as well, he got through a lot of work as well as scoring three tries making 105 metres but Wynne was even more impressive with 176 metres as he scored a hat-trick no doubt giving himself a real chance of cementing a place in the side long term.
