BREAKING: Saints set to appeal bans to Mata’utia

St Helens will be appealing against the bans handed to Sione Mata’utia following the fixture against Wakefield last weekend, the St Helens Star has reported.
Mata’utia was charged by the RFL’s match review panel with two separate Grade B offences, incurring one-match bans for both incidents.
The second-rower was deemed to have committed a late and high tackle on a kicker in the eighth minute as well as making ‘dangerous contact’ in the 28th minute.
The appeals will be held tonight at an independent tribunal.
