BREAKING: Another two Castleford Tigers men set for lengthy bans as Super League target gets hefty suspension

Following the latest round of Betfred Championship, Betfred League One, Reserve, Academy and Scholarship fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

Lewis Ransome (Castleford Tigers Reserves) – Grade D Punching – Refer to Tribunal
Vila Halafihi (Sheffield Eagles) – Grade A Disputes Decision – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Isaac Nokes (Newcastle Thunder) – Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Kieran Hudson (Whitehaven) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Josh Wood (Barrow Raiders) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Paul Sykes (Dewsbury Rams) – Grade C Dangerous Throw – 3 Match Penalty Notice
Thomas Doyle (Bradford Bulls) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 3 Match Penalty Notice

The following player has recieved a caution:

Spencer Peel (Huddersfield Giants) – Other Contrary Behaviour

If Ransome is found guilty by a tribunal, the Castleford man could sit out for as many as five matches, whilst Super League target Thomas Doyle – who currently plays for Bradford Bulls – will be banned for three games.

These charges follow those handed out by the Match Review Panel on Monday after last weekend’s games.

One of these, in particular, caused a point of controversy with Rhyse Martin appealing his one-match ban at his own tribunal on Tuesday night. That tribunal, of course, ruled that his appeal was frivolous and actually increased the suspension to two games.
