Bradford snap up ex-Hull prop

Bradford have confirmed the signing of ex-Hull and St Helens prop Levy Nzoungou on a one-year deal from 2020.

The 21-year-old is currently playing for Albi in France’s Elite One Championship but will link up with the Bulls in January when the French season ends.

Despite his young age, Nzoungou is already somewhat of a journeyman, with Bradford becoming his 11th club.

After starting out as a junior at St Helens, he had a spell with the Melbourne Storm academy and Toulouse before making his Super League debut for Salford in 2018.

During his time with the Red Devils, he also spent time on loan at Oldham, Whitehaven and Swinton before switching to Hull FC last season.

He made just one appearances for the Black and Whites and a further 12 whilst on dual-registration with Doncaster.

“I am absolutely delighted because he is a big middle unit forward,” head coach John Kear told the Bulls’ website. “He certainly isn’t small! He carries the ball very aggressively and I am looking forward to working with him.

“He adds some youthful vigour alongside the experience of Steve Crossley and Anthony England and he will dovetail right into what we want to achieve.”

Nzoungou is the club’s sixth new signing for 2020, joining Greg Johnson, Anthony England, Sam Barlow, Rowan Milnes and Adam Rooks.
